Zack Snyder Zombie Universe, in Army of the Dead anche Vanessa Hudgens e tante altre star!

All'inizio di settembre è stato ufficialmente confermato che Netflix farà di Army of the Dead di Zack Snyder un franchise, partendo dal singolo lungometraggio per produrre anche un film prequel e una serie animata prequel.

Poco fa Variety ha confermato che proprio il progetto animato, intitolato Army of the Dead: Las Vegas e che sarà sempre diretto da Snyder, ha reso noti i suoi protagonisti: si tratta di Joe Manganiello (Justice League) e Christian Slater (Mr.Robot, Una Vita al Massimo), ma anche Harry Lennix (Man of Steel), Anya Chalotra (The Witcher), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), Jena Malone (Sucker Punch, Batman v Superman) e Yetide Badaki (American Gods).

Army of the Dead: Las Vegas sarà un prequel del prossimo film di zombi Netflix Army of the Dead diretto da Zack Snyder, con Dave Bautista che riprenderà il ruolo di Scott nella serie animata. L'autore dirigerà due episodi della serie e produrrà tramite il suo banner Stone Quarry, con Meduzarts Animation Studio che gestirà l'animazione. Oltre ad Army of the Dead: Las Vegas, ricordiamo che lo 'Snyder Zombie Universe' si amplierà anche con un altro prequel incentrato sul personaggio Ludwig Dieter, interpretato da Mattias Schweighöfer. L'attore sarà anche il regista del film.

Basato su una storia originale di Zack Snyder e su una sceneggiatura di Joby Harold, che di recente ha scritto King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Army of the Dead include nel cast Dave Bautista, Garret Dillahunt, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Raul Castillo, Tig Notaro, Theo Rossi e Ana de la Reguera. Il film non ha ancora una data di uscita su Netflix.
