Oscar 2012: Hugo conduce con 11 nomination, segue The Artist con 10

Si è appena concluso l'annuncio delle nomination della 84esima edizione degli Oscar trasmessa in diretta dal canale Youtube ufficiale dell'Academy.

Jennifer Lawrence accompagnata dal Presidente dell'Academy Tom Sherak ha annunciato in diretta mondiale le nomination delle categorie più importanti.
Negli ultimi due mesi The Artist e Paradiso Amaro si sono contesi il maggior numero di vittorie nelle premiazioni dei vari circoli dei critici americani, internazionali e del web, e delle Guild. Le nomination uscite poco fa hanno ribaltato le aspettative avute fino a questo momento: il film di Scorsese, Hugo, ha ricevuto ben 11 nomination posizionandosi così in testa nella lista dei film che hanno ricevuto più candidature. Segue The Artist con 10, Moneyball con 6 a pari merito con War Horse, Paradiso Amaro con 5 a pari merito con Millenuim - Uomini che odiano le donne, The Help con 4 a pari merito con Midnight in Paris.
Uno dei dubbi maggiori di quest'anno riguardava la quantità di nomination che sarebbero state incluse nella categoria per il miglior film. Non più 10 come l'anno scorso ma un numero compreso tra le 5 e le 10 candidature, stabilito con il nuovo sistema di votazione. Alla fine la categoria per il miglior film comprende 9 titoli.
Ma analizziamo le nomination. Le nomination totali di Moneyball, Uomini che odiano le donne e War Horse sono state una vera sorpresa così come la mancanza di nomination nelle categorie più importanti per Drive.
Nella categoria per il miglior attore la più grossa sorpresa riguarda la nomination di Gary Oldman per la Talpa, un film che non ha ricevuto molti riconoscimenti, solamente ai BAFTA ha ottenuto un alto numero di candidature. Nella maggior parte delle recensioni del film di Fincher, quasi tutti i critici sono stati d'accordo nell'elogiare la performance di Rooney Mara e l'Academy ha riconosciuto l'impegno dell'attrice. Le amiche della sposa è riuscito a conquistarsi ben 2 nomination, una per la McCarty e l'altra per la miglior sceneggiatura originale.
Dopo anni la Pixar non ha un film candidato per il miglior film d'animazione ma lo studio ha ottenuto comunque una nomination per il corto La Luna, la Dreamworks invece ha ottenuto ben due nomination per Kung Fu Panda 2 e Il gatto con gli stivali. Speriamo che vinca Rango. Solamente 2 le canzoni in gara quest'anno e il tifo sarà tutto per "Man or Muppet" di Bret McKenzie. Come ipotizzato John Williams è stato nominato per entrambe le colonne sonore dei film di Spielberg, Tintin (l'unica nomination) e War Horse. La categoria per il miglior trucco ha tre concorrenti molto forti: Albert Nobbs, Harry Potter e The Iron Lady, difficile prevedere chi la spunterà. L'ultimo film di Harry Potter ha ottennuto altre due nomination tecniche, scenografia e effetti speciali, non riuscendo nemmeno con l'ultimo film ha ottenere qualche riconoscimento maggiore come qualcuno aveva sperato. Le idi di marzo di Clooney che sembrava uno degli altri film favoriti di questa edizione ha avuto una solo nomination per la sceneggiatura non originale, il bellissimo Margin Call invece ha ottenuto una nomination per la miglior sceneggiatura originale. L'ultimo capitolo della serie di documentari sui tre ragazzi di Memphis, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory ha ottenuto una nomination sebbene i tre protagonisti avessero chiesto che il film non fosse nominato. The Three of life è riuscito a ottenere le nomination per il miglior film, regia e naturalmente fotografia, una delle migliori dell'anno passato. La categoria per il miglio documentario vedrà una lotta interessante tra Pina, Paradise Lost 3 e Hell and Back Again.
Infine l'Italia è presente agli Oscar con 2 nomination: quelle di Enrico Casarosa per La Luna, e Dante Ferretti e Francesca Lo Schiavo per Hugo.
